Accepted IDs

When you open an account, we verify your identity with a photo of your ID and a short face scan. Your ID must be issued in the United States and must be valid.

We accept

• US driver's license from any state
• US state ID card
• US passport (the page with your photo)

We do not accept

• Passports, driver's licenses and ID cards from other countries, including Canada and Mexico
• Expired IDs

Tips for a photo that passes

• Lay the ID on a dark, flat surface in good, even light.
• Keep all four corners in the photo, with no glare and the text readable.
• The expiration date must be readable. We cannot verify an ID without one.
• The back of a license or ID card is optional, but add it if the expiration date is printed on the back. A passport needs no back photo.
• Your face scan must match the photo on your ID.
